Kaumarbhritya Tantra (Bāla Roga Vibhāga) is one of the eight branches of Ashtanga Ayurveda, dedicated to the health and well-being of children — from conception to adolescence. It covers neonatal care, infant feeding, immunization, nutrition, growth monitoring, and the management of pediatric diseases.
Acharya Kashyapa is considered the pioneer of this branch, with detailed contributions on neonatal care, Suvarnaprashana (an immunization and intellect-promoting therapy), and management of common childhood disorders.

Therapeutic Methods
The department applies Shamana therapies, child-friendly Panchakarma (Mridu Vamana, Virechana, Basti), and Sthanik Chikitsa such as Karna Purana and Netra Kriyakalpa.
