Streamlined Patient Registration & Care for a Smooth Hospital Experience
At Bharati Ayurved Hospital, efficient patient management is a priority ensuring timely care in both Outpatient (OPD) and Inpatient (IPD) departments. Structured registration and admission procedures are designed to facilitate smooth patient flow while maintaining high standards of care and documentation. Clear working hours and specialized provisions accommodate diverse patient needs, including emergency, planned, and special-category admissions.
OPD Registration Process:
- Fully equipped mobile AyuaOPD registration is available during working hours at the Reception (front desk) and after hours at Casualty for emergencies.rvedic clinic staffed by experienced Vaidyas and healthcare professionals
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
- New patients receive a case paper with a Permanent Registration Number (PRN) upon paying a minimal fee.
- Follow-up patients continue with the same PRN and pay a minimal fee for each visit.
- Emergency patients during working hours are taken directly to OPD, with registration often completed by relatives during treatment.
- After hours, registration is processed at Casualty, where an OPD case paper and PRN are issued upon payment of a minimal fee.
IPD Admission Process:
- During working hours, patients are assessed and counselled by the respective department doctor. Admission instructions are confirmed, details recorded, and an IPD number generated.
- Patient or relative consent is obtained, along with a nominal deposit for regular admission and day care cases.
- After hours, initial assessment is done by Resident Medical Officer (RMO) and resident doctor, followed by counseling and documentation by the unit doctor.
- Consent includes a third-party witness; deposits are collected prior to admissions proceeding to the wards.
Special Cases Considerations:
- Unidentified patients are labeled as UNKNOWN; treatment begins immediately with police informed; PRN is retained once details are confirmed.
- Medico-legal cases (MLC) receive prompt OPD treatment with documentation in a medico-legal register and police notification.
- International patients require routine admission alongside Form C submission to the Foreigners’ Regional Office (FRO) and police; passport and visa copies are retained.
- Planned admissions after hours are managed by resident doctors with prompt communication to the unit doctor.
- Day care patients have their admission files generated as usual but are clearly marked, along with a nominal deposit.
- In case of bed non-availability, patients are waitlisted and contacted when space becomes available.
