Integrative ENT Care with Ayurveda

Shalakya Tantra, one of the eight classical branches of Ayurveda, addresses disorders affecting the regions above the clavicle, including the eye, ear, nose, throat, oral cavity, and head. Within this branch, the ENT (Karna–Nasa–Mukha–Kantha Roga) specialty is devoted to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of conditions involving the ear, nose, throat, mouth, and related head–neck structures.

Acharya Sushruta documented more than 90 ENT conditions, ranging from medical management to surgical interventions such as Karna Vedhana (ear piercing), Nasa Shastra Karma (nasal surgeries), Kaval, Gandusha, Pratisarana, Dhoomapana, and even tracheostomy-like procedures.

At our Department of Shalakya Tantra (ENT), we provide holistic care through Ayurvedic medicines, Panchakarma therapies, para-surgical measures, classical surgical procedures, and integration with modern ENT diagnostics.
